To those of you who can't wait, a picture is coming soon! :)

Hello and thank you for visiting my website and "About Me" page! My name is Karen Taylor and I am the owner and operator of a specialty dog company that provides professional dog walking, handmade all-natural organic dog treats as well as many other dog necessities (and tons of others just for fun!) named Karen's Canine Creations. I have always had a love and admiration for all animals and would love to say I could save them all myself! My treat business began with our first born fur baby, Zeus having medical issues and severe stomach and digestive problems to say the least. I started trying to mix different all-natural ingredients that I thought he may like together to see if it was possible to come up with something that did not upset his stomach.

After recipe upon recipe, I was able to come up with several treats that he absolutely loved and did not upset his system a bit! When other friends and family would come over, they would feed their dogs our treats and their dogs loved them too! It was then that my husband and I decided to provide our treats to others. From there, we came up with our logo, "Pampered Pets Are Our Priority." We established our all-natural, organic treat business and also added a full line of all the other necessities a pampered dog could need such as collars, beds, toys, clothes, etc. We are constantly striving to get the most unique items that cannot be found in stores, but still pass along a great price to our faithful customers! Our top selling brands include Zanies, Haute Diggity Dog and Zack & Zoey.

We also like to spend our sparetime doing work for the Henrico Humane Society. Even though we do not live in Henrico, the volunteers at Henrico Humane had a lot to do with our "daughter" Lucy being alive today, so we figure it is the least we can do to return the favor! Whether it is holding food drives for them, taking donations at our local shows and events, or just simply clipping all of the coupons we can find for pet food and buying a little each week ourselves to donate, we absolutely love doing whatever we can do to help them and always wish we could do more!

Most recently, after spending nearly 10 years in the corporate world working for a local financial institution full time and running our treat business and its website full time as well, I realized that doing them both together was getting really tiring really fast! I had worked hard to complete college and work my way up in the company that I worked for, but I truly loved running our business and dealing with customers and their dogs and knew that continuing to do both was just not possible. I made a huge decision, with the support of my husband and family, and decided to leave my full time job and devote all of my time and energy to working with dogs! I have never looked back and do not regret it for a second. This is what I truly LOVE to do and I hope that that is conveyed to each and every one of our customers!

Just a sidenote from the heart: If there was ever anything in this world that will provide you everlasting, unconditional love, it is a dog! No matter what happens to them, they are the most loyal and dedicated living things that exist. One word of advice to anyone looking to add a new addition to their household--PLEASE go to your local shelter, SPCA or Humane Society and adopt an animal in need vs. paying top dollar for a pet from a breeder. There are hundreds of thousands of animals in need of rescue and being euthanized every second, yet there are breeders constantly breeding and selling litter after litter of puppies to mills and pet stores around the country for a hefty profit. Our pitbull Lucy was rescued and taken to the Humane Society after being hit by a car and left for dead and she is honestly one of the best animals that we have ever owned. Even though she has truly went through hell in her life, she is the happiest dog alive!!! She lets us know everyday how happy she is to be here and to be our dog. My husband and I cannot imagine our lives without our dogs and they play a HUGE role in everything that we do, everyday. They are truly our children and part of our family and we look forward to providing the same care and love to your special pups as well :) Thank you again for reading a bit about me...
